About Me
I was born and raised here in Pueblo, Colorado. My first Bachelor's Degree was in Business Administration and Accounting and my second Bachelor's is in Mathematics with a minor in Education. I completed my Master's of Education in Mathematics Curriculum in September of 2018 and am currently working on my Doctorate!
This will be my seventh year at East High School and I am extremely proud to be an Eagle!!
I am married to a wonderful man and together we have 5 children, ranging in age from 8 to 24 years old. In my spare time I love to read and to ride my bicycle on the trails around town and along the rivers. My goal right now is to make time to ride and get into good shape.
It is my belief that mathematics are an essential part of our daily lives. My classes will include information on how to do the math, as well as ways in which that math can be put to use. It is important to me that my students find value in the content that I teach. We will use music, movement, cooperative learning along with traditional instruction in my classes. We will also be taking several assessments throughout the year as tests are an important part of what we do. They give me and my students information on where they are and what they still need to learn. I feel that the most critical part of my job is to give my students the skills they need to become successful after high school.
